Bhargavi Pillai
About
Bhargavi Pillai is a renowned playback singer, who has worked predominantly in the Telugu movie industry. She is the voice behind some of the famous songs like ‘Nazrein Milana’, ‘Baazi Laga’ and many more.
She was initially interested in modelling rather than singing and she sang her first song ‘Mehabooba’ in the movie ‘Santosham’ post which she realised she wanted to further pursue singing. The maestro AR Rahman also called her the ‘Indian Shakira’ once.
She has worked in popular movies like ‘Brahmachari’ and ‘Bengal Tiger’. She is also a member of the music band S5 which was formed in 2004 which won the first SS Music voice hunt competition.
She is a master of multiple languages and can sing in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. She has around 350 songs to her credit and has had the privilege to work with all the topmost music directors from the south including M. M. Keeravani, Yuvan Shankar Raja and many more.
Bhargavi has been rocking the music scene for many years now and has performed at more than 4000 events. Her stage shows are widely popular and are always housefull.
